Everyone loves a bright smile, and Sarasota Implant loves seeing people with bright smiles! If you are self-conscious about your smile because of missing teeth, it may be time to talk to us about dental implants to see if they are right for you. Dental implants are a safe, effective alternative to dentures or partials for many patients.

Dental implants fuse directly with the jawbone giving your new teeth strong support. There are two kinds of implants. The first process involves putting implants directly into the jawbone. After the gum has healed, the artificial teeth are attached.  In the second process, a metal frame is attached to the jawbone below the gums. After the gums heal, the new teeth are attached to the posts on the frame.

Dental implants are safe and very popular, but may not be for everyone. It’s very important that you take time to discuss the procedure with Dr. Kenneth M. Schweizer to be sure that you are a good candidate for implants. You should be medically cleared for surgery before starting the process. You should have healthy gums and enough jawbone to support the implants.

If we decide to move ahead with dental implants, you will need to spend time caring for the implant, and making sure the area around it is clean. Remember that you will also need to schedule regular visits with us and follow a home-care routine designed to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

If you are considering implants, Sarasota Implant in Sarasota, Florida would love the chance to sit down and talk with you. We will find out if you are a good candidate for dental implants, and discuss which process would work best for you.  Give us a call at 941-256-2488 to schedule an examination and to talk about options.
